• WVAC is incorporated (1983)
• Wallowa Valley Festival of the Arts begins (including Cowboy Poets & Quick Draw)
• Fishtrap gets its start through WVAC's tax-exempt status
• Youth Arts Festival begins
• Missoula Children's Theatre first comes to Wallowa County
• Eagle Cap Fine Arts camp begins
• Northwest Performance
• Receives grants to improve lighting for OK Theatre & Joseph Community Center
